The 9-day Cox’s Bazar Book Fair 2025 has kicked off, marking the beginning of the much-anticipated Youth Festival, which aims to build a new Bangladesh. The fair opened on January 10 and will run until January 18.

The Ministry of Culture supports it, and the National Book Centre organizes it in collaboration with the Cox’s Bazar District Administration.

On Wednesday, January 10, the inauguration ceremony featured Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Adviser to the Ministry of Culture in the Interim Government, as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he remarked, “Books help expand our minds and thoughts, and they can guide us toward a new Bangladesh.”

The fair boasts approximately 60 stalls showcasing various books, ranging from literature and history to science and children’s books. In addition to the rich selection of reading material, the event includes daily literary discussions, seminars, and cultural programs to engage visitors.

Organizers have also planned numerous interactive activities to enhance the visitor experience and foster a more profound love for reading among attendees.
