After the rally, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin led a discussion meeting in the DC office’s conference room.

In his speech, he stated that Cox’s Bazar is a disaster-prone area and that increasing public awareness is essential to reducing the damage natural disasters cause.

He also urged students and the general public to stay informed about emergency measures to take before and after disasters such as earthquakes and fires.

The event concluded with distributing prizes to students who won debate, essay, and art competitions held in observance of the day.
