According to the Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Department, the coastal district has recorded 103 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Assistant Meteorologist Md Abdul Hannan said there is a possibility of heavy rainfall today.

Moreover, due to the active monsoon, the Meteorological Department has issued local cautionary signal 3 for four maritime ports—Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra.

According to the forecast, deep convective clouds continue to form over the North Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh under the influence of an active monsoon.

As a result, strong winds may blow over Bangladesh’s coastal areas, the northern Bay of Bengal, and the seaports.

Fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay of Bengal have been advised to approach the coast cautiously and remain vigilant until further notice.
