The story of the Cox’s Bazar Marathon began on December 15, 2023, when the first “Cox’s Bazar Run” was held, racing through the heart of this beautiful seaside city. Following that, the district administration, Bangladesh Army, and Cox’s Bazar Runners Community jointly organized the Victory Day Half Marathon 2024.

On April 19, 2025, the second “Cox’s Bazar Run” took place, organized by the Cox’s Bazar Runners Community with the support of the district administration and police. Soon after, the Bangladesh Army, with full support from the runners’ community, successfully organized the Boishakhi Triathlon.

Building on this momentum, we are now bringing you Cox’s Bazar Marathon 2025. This is the only marathon event originating from Cox’s Bazar city, with the starting point at the iconic Laboni Beach. The route will run along the shoreline, through the town, down Marine Drive, and back to finish at Laboni Beach.

This winter, in the breathtaking natural beauty of Cox’s Bazar, we are set to host the city’s first full marathon with four categories: marathon (42.2 km), half marathon (21.1 km), open 10 km, and 2.5 km fun run (for kids, physically challenged participants, and families).

The registration will be opened on July 23 at 8:00 PM and early bird registration will be available until August 20, followed by regular registration closing on September 29, 2025. The earlier you register, the lower the participation fee, allowing you to join the Cox’s Bazar Marathon at the best value.

With runners from around the world, we are poised to deliver an international-standard marathon event featuring excellent facilities and support.

The event will be organized by the Cox’s Bazar Runners Community with support from the Cox’s Bazar District Administration.
