Cox’s Bazar observed the July Uprising Day 2025 with deep reverence and solemn dedication. On Tuesday, July 5, a commemorative event began at 9 AM in Chakaria upazila, where Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salah Uddin, accompanied by department heads, civil society members, and student representatives, laid floral wreaths at the grave of martyred student Ahsan Habib.
Following this, an official discussion session was held at Shaheed Subhash Hall, within the Public Library auditorium. Presided over by the Deputy Commissioner, the event featured heartfelt speeches from members of the martyred families, injured fighters of the July uprising, student coordinators, political leaders, civil society representatives, and senior officials from the police and administration.
Speakers not only recalled the bloody history of the July uprising but also voiced aspirations for a just future, echoing solemn pledges of unity and resistance.
At the end of the program, the July Shaheed Smriti Foundation presented commemorative gifts to the families of the martyrs and the injured freedom fighters.
