The Cox’s Bazar District Police organized a discussion meeting with the local Christian community on Wednesday at the Superintendent of Police’s (SP) office’s conference room in preparation for Christmas, their most significant religious festival.
Superintendent of Police Muhammad Rahmat Ullah presided over the session and emphasized ensuring security and maintaining law and order during the Christmas celebrations.
Senior officials, including Additional Superintendent of Police (promoted to SP) Md. Shakil Ahmed, Additional SP Nazmus Saqib Khan, Additional SP Alok Biswas, and Additional SP Md. Jasim Uddin Chowdhury attended the event. Leaders from the Bangladesh Christian Association’s Cox’s Bazar district branch also participated in the meeting.
Discussions centered around measures to ensure safety and facilitate smooth celebrations for the Christian community during the festive period.
Concluding the session, SP Muhammad Rahmat Ullah extended warm Christmas greetings to the community and called for strengthening the bond of harmony and unity.
