The district cricket team of Cox’s Bazar delivered an impressive performance in the group stage of the 44th National Cricket Championship. In a one-day match held in Chandpur on Saturday, they defeated the Netrakona District team by a commanding 137-run margin.

After winning the toss, Cox’s Bazar elected to bat first. In the 50-over match, they were bowled out in 41 overs and 1 ball, scoring 207 runs. Although the top order faced early pressure, the middle- and lower-order batters showed resilience to post a competitive total.

The Netrakona district side, chasing a target of 208 runs, struggled from the outset against Cox’s Bazar’s disciplined bowling attack. They were bowled out for just 70 runs in 19 overs and 4 balls. The bowlers from Cox’s Bazar consistently took wickets, leaving their opponents with no opportunity to recover.

With this emphatic victory, the Cox’s Bazar cricket team has strengthened its position in the group stage, leaving the field with renewed confidence after a dominant performance.
