Yasmin Akter has emerged as a women entrepreneur in Cox’s Bazar through her clothing business, Tawajjuh Boutiques, which she built on ambition, hard work, and a commitment to quality.
Through the venture, she has established herself as an entrepreneur and encouraged other women to pursue financial independence.
Akter began her entrepreneurial journey by using online platforms to reach customers. Her focus on stylish clothing, product quality, and personal relationships with buyers helped her business stand out in the clothing category. What started as a small venture has gradually earned customers’ trust.
In 2024, she received the Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Diva Organisation in the clothing category.
She was recognised for achieving the highest sales in the category and for remaining consistently active in the organisation’s group.
Jahanara Akter, president of the Cox’s Bazar Women Chamber of Commerce, said Yasmin had progressed through her talent and persistent hard work.
“Through her talent and tireless efforts, Yasmin Akter is moving forward. As an entrepreneur, she is achieving financial independence and playing an important role in the country’s economy and social activities,” she said.
Yasmin said she always tried to embrace new ideas and believed that sincerity and dedication were essential to success.
“I constantly try to remain active in exploring new ideas. Success comes when you work sincerely. The recognition I have received for my work has inspired me to do even better,” she said.
Through Tawajjuh Boutiques, Akter continues to develop her business while serving as an example for women seeking to turn their ambitions into entrepreneurial ventures.
