As the day advances, crowds can be seen at Darya Nagar beach, where people flock to purchase fish in bulk.

Fishermen bring their daily catch during the peak fishing season using cork sheets and traditional sampan boats, which usually return from the sea every five to six hours.

According to the fishermen, each boat often carries several maunds of fish.

As the boats reach the shore, the scene quickly becomes lively, with fish traders and buyers rushing to participate in the bustling trade.

The fishermen added that smaller marine species dominate their catches, including Poa, red shrimp, Maitta, Rupchanda, and Loitta.

These are sold through open auctions at wholesale prices, with traders purchasing large quantities directly from the beach.
