Dhalghata, an island within an island, is expanding in size and beauty due to the emergence of new sandbars such as Hasher Char. This picturesque location boasts verdant rows of jhau trees and picturesque fishing boats lining the canal that connects the road to the sea, contributing to its irresistible charm.
Locals enjoy Dhalghata’s beach the most, as it has yet to attract broader tourism. Most visitors are from nearby areas, as the location remains unknown beyond Cox’s Bazar.
The locals here are primarily fishermen or work in the dried-fish processing yards, yet they see excellent tourism potential. With improved transportation, Dhalghata could become a prominent destination in Cox’s Bazar, attracting travelers from across the country.
