To ensure a safer and more organized environment for tourists, the district administration carried out a special drive on Friday at Cox’s Bazar’s Sugandha Point Beach to curb irregular activities such as excessive use of inner tubes and playing football indiscriminately along the shore.

Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Nafis Intesar Nafi of the district administration’s Tourism Cell led the operation.

“The objective of the drive is to prevent any potential accidents involving tourists and to promote discipline on the beach,” said Magistrate Nafi.

During the drive, several footballs and an excessive number of bathing tubes were seized. The authorities also warned tourism service providers to avoid any behavior that might lead to harassment or safety concerns for visitors.

Members of the Tourist Police, beach workers, and lifeguards were present during the operation.
