Located 48 kilometers north of Cox’s Bazar city center and 10 kilometers south of Chakaria, Dulahazara Safari Park spans 900 hectares within the Dulahazara block of the South Forest Division’s Fasiakhali Range.

Established in 1999 by the Ministry of Forests and Environment, Bangladesh, the park originally began as a deer breeding center and has since expanded into a full-fledged safari park.

Divided into eight blocks, Dulahazara Safari Park allows visitors to walk freely in open surroundings, making it an ideal destination for families seeking an enjoyable day in nature.

Although it started as a deer breeding center, the park now shelters various animals, including tigers, lions, elephants, bears, gaurs, crocodiles, hippos, barking deer, sambar deer, chital deer, and hog deer. Both freshwater and saltwater crocodiles are among the park’s notable attractions.

While the park keeps some animals and birds in enclosures, most allow them to roam freely within its open spaces.

The park also provides rest areas and dormitories for visitors’ convenience, offering a comfortable experience for those wishing to explore its unique wildlife and natural beauty.
