During the Durga Puja holidays, the Tourist Police in Cox’s Bazar have ramped up their patrolling efforts to ensure the safety of tourists. Key areas, particularly from Shaibal Point to Sugandha Point, are monitored daily and at night.

The Tourist Police said that in addition to static duty at different points, robust patrolling will continue, including beach bike patrols, mounted police patrols, and other diverse methods to maximize the use of their limited resources.

They aim to ensure the safety of both tourists and local citizens.

Abul Kalam, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police and media spokesperson for the Tourist Police in Cox’s Bazar region said the police are committed to ensuring the safety of tourists.

“Despite our limited resources, ensuring tourist security remains our top priority. We request cooperation from all stakeholders and citizens to help maintain a safe environment.” He added.
