As the gentle afternoon sun casts a golden glow and the cool sea breeze fills the air, thousands of tourists flock to the beach with their families. Many wander along the vast stretch of the sandbar, venturing closer to the sea, while children run around joyfully and young couples eagerly capture the scenic beauty in photographs.
Mahbub Rahman, a tourist from Dhaka, shared his excitement: “Walking on this sandbar is an incredible experience. Standing here, you can hear the waves crashing up close—it’s truly a rare sight in Cox’s Bazar.”
According to a local fisherman, such sandbars usually emerge during low tide and gradually submerge as the tide rises. However, today’s sandbar is significantly larger than usual, adding to the excitement of visiting tourists.
Tourism industry experts believe that these natural phenomena enhance the appeal of Cox’s Bazar as a prime travel destination. However, they also emphasize the importance of environmental conservation and responsible tourism to ensure both sustainability and safety.
