Cox’s Bazar International University (CBIU) has held a farewell reception for the 16th batch of its Law Department. At the same event, a distinguished graduate from the university’s first law cohort, now enlisted at the High Court, was honored with a crest in recognition of their achievements.

The program took place on Saturday (June 28) at the university auditorium, with CBIU founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Lion Muhammad Mujibur Rahman, attending as the chief guest.

Addressing the departing students, he said, “Completing your four-year honors program is not the end, but the beginning of your real journey. Prepare yourself well to reach your goals in life and be sincere in fulfilling the dreams of your parents.”

The event was presided over by Acting Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Touhid Hossain Chowdhury. Special guests included Dean Professor Kazi Mostain Billah, Professor Dr. Muhammad Israfil of the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Dhaka, CBIU Law Department Assistant Professor Mohammad Nasir Uddin, President of the District Bar Association Advocate Sayed Alam, and General Secretary Advocate Muhammad Tawhidul Anwar.

The farewell reception was also attended by the Chairperson of the Law Department, Khan Habiba Mostarin, along with faculty members, administrative staff, and guardians.
