The social organization RASDO in Ramu organized a special camp offering free blood group testing and raising awareness about thalassemia. The Ramu Blood Donor’s Society provided technical support for the initiative.
On Tuesday, November 19, the camp was inaugurated at Ramkut Jyotisen High School in Rajarkul Union by the Chief Abbot of Ramkut Bonashram Buddhist Monastery, K. Shree Jyotisen Mahathero. The school’s headteacher, Kishore Barua, welcomed the students with an opening speech.
The camp, which ran from morning to noon, successfully tested the blood groups of nearly 300 students and provided them with identification cards. Leaflets were also distributed to promote awareness about thalassemia.
Abdul Khalek, Executive Director of RASDO, stated, “It is our duty to serve the community. Alongside Ramu Blood Donor’s Society, we are committed to contributing to societal development.”
