In a significant administrative move, the government has withdrawn deputy commissioners (DCs) from 25 districts across the country. According to separate gazette notifications issued by the public administration ministry on August 20, the reassigned DCs have been attached to various ministries, directorates, and other government offices.
Since taking office, the interim government has been implementing extensive reshuffles in both civil administration and the police force.
