Miss Hakimun Nessa Bappy, CEO of the women-led organization WAYDO – Women’s Service & Youth Development Organization – has achieved a remarkable international milestone.

She has been selected as a finalist for the WINDRR Rising Star Award 2025, one of only seven worldwide.

The Women’s International Network on Disaster Risk Reduction (WIN DRR), with support from UNDRR Asia-Pacific, presents this prestigious recognition.

Miss Bappy is being honoured for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and active contribution in disaster risk reduction, women’s empowerment, and youth development.

Her relentless efforts at the grassroots level in Bangladesh are empowering women and youth to build resilient, sustainable communities.

WAYDO says this achievement reflects not only Miss Bappy’s dedication but also the growing impact of women-led organizations.

Currently, she represents Bangladesh and WAYDO at the UNCC Bangkok on this international platform.

The organization notes that this recognition will open up new horizons for women’s leadership and disaster management globally.
