Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed is scheduled to pay a two-day official visit to Cox’s Bazar on August 6 and 7, during which he will review the district’s law and order situation, anti-narcotics efforts, development activities and a number of government projects.
According to the itinerary, the minister will also visit the Cox’s Bazar Development Authority (CDA) and Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital, among other key installations.
The programme says the minister will leave the Secretariat for Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3:00 pm on August 6. He is scheduled to depart Dhaka by air at 4:50 pm and arrive at Cox’s Bazar Airport at 5:50 pm before proceeding to the Hill Down Circuit House.
During the evening, he will attend official engagements, including a meeting on narcotics control and improving law and order, before staying overnight at the Circuit House.
On the morning of August 7, the minister will visit the Cox’s Bazar Development Authority office to exchange views with officials and formally inaugurate the authority’s Flat Development Project-1.
He will then visit Cox’s Bazar Medical College and Hospital, where he is expected to inaugurate several newly completed facilities.
After returning to the Circuit House for a meeting with local administration officials, the minister will leave for Cox’s Bazar Airport in the evening. He is scheduled to depart for Dhaka at 8:00 pm and arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 9:00 pm.
During the visit, officials from the district administration, police, the Cox’s Bazar Development Authority, Cox’s Bazar Medical College Hospital and other relevant government agencies are expected to receive the minister and brief him on their respective activities.
