Travel 70 kilometers south along the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Marine Drive, and you’ll come across an isolated hill that stands out against the horizon.
With its unique shape resembling a heel from afar, this hill is traditionally known as Jahajpura.
In recent years, however, it has earned the nickname “Hollywood Hill,” attracting curious visitors from across the country.
Many tourists marvel at its raw beauty, captivated by its unusual charm, while others document their visits in travel blogs, contributing to its rising fame.
The hill has become a magnet for nature lovers and explorers seeking offbeat destinations.
According to the Teknaf Upazila administration, Jahajpura Hill, originally named Tunungananga, stands at an impressive height of 880 feet, making it the tallest hill in Cox’s Bazar district.
Three decades ago, towering Gorjon, Teak, and Chapalish trees densely covered the hill.
