A delegation from the International Manpower Development Organization (IM Japan) visited the iconic 100-foot Singhashajya (Lion Reclining) Gautama Buddha statue and Vimukti Vipassana Meditation Center at Bhuban Shanti, North Mithachhari, Ramu.

The visit took place on Monday, with around 30 members of IM Japan’s Technical Intern Training Program in attendance.

Venerable Karunashree Mahathero, the center’s director, warmly welcomed the delegation and presented them with floral greetings.

The team participated in traditional Buddhist rituals, including the lighting of lamps and prayers. They also explored various aspects of the meditation center during their visit.

Buddhist religious leaders and officials from the center were present to accompany and guide the delegation throughout the tour.
