A high-level Japanese delegation, led by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Norikazu Suzuki, along with the Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh, paid an official visit to Camp 4 and Camp 4 Extension in Cox’s Bazar on April 30.

The 19-member delegation carried out an extensive inspection of key humanitarian activities in the camps, including food distribution outlets, skill development centers, livelihood programs, and learning facilities.

During the visit, the delegation closely observed ongoing initiatives to strengthen resilience, promote self-reliance, and ensure sustainable support for the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs).

The visiting team expressed deep interest in the wide range of programs being implemented and acknowledged the coordinated efforts of the Government of Bangladesh and its humanitarian partners in addressing the complex challenges faced by the displaced population.

Officials noted that such high-level visits reflect the continued commitment of international partners, particularly the Government of Japan, in supporting humanitarian assistance and development-focused interventions in Cox’s Bazar.
