Kutubdia celebrated the remarkable achievement of Koyarbil Government Primary School, whose football team clinched the national championship title in the Primary School Gold Cup Football Tournament.
On Saturday afternoon, as the victorious team arrived in Kutubdia with their championship trophy, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kathoai Pru Marma warmly received them with floral garlands.
The Kutubdia Upazila Administration arranged an open-roof vehicle parade for the champions to mark the historic occasion. The players, along with their coaches and teachers, joyfully toured different parts of the island with the trophy, basking in the glory of their success.
The players and school authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to their journey to the national championship.
Congratulating the young champions, UNO Kathoai Pru Marma remarked, “Becoming national champions from an island like Kutubdia is a matter of great pride.”
This victory marks the first time a team from Kutubdia Upazila has won the Primary School Gold Cup National Championship, a momentous milestone in the island’s sporting history.
