Md. Shah Jahan Kutub, fondly known as ‘Kutubi Sir,’ dedicated 30 years to teaching at two renowned schools in Cox’s Bazar district. He retired as an Assistant Teacher from Cox’s Bazar Government Boys High School on December 30, 2021.
A postgraduate in Sociology, Kutubi Sir earned the unique title of ‘Teacher of All Subjects’ due to his versatility and ability to connect with students across various disciplines, including science, humanities, and business studies.
His popularity extended to students from all departments, and many of his former pupils now hold prestigious positions in Bangladesh and abroad.
Speaking to Cox’s Bazar Life, marking World Teachers Day 2024, Kutubi Sir reflected on his pride as a teacher.
“Wherever I go, I find my students,” he remarked, evidence of his lasting impact as a teacher.
