Cox’s Bazar Life Report

Around 40 tourists ventured into the rough sea at Cox’s Bazar despite warnings and were swept away by the powerful waves. Fortunately, all were rescued thanks to the swift efforts of lifeguards and jet ski operators, though a lifeguard and a jet ski driver sustained injuries during the operation. They were later treated at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.

The incident occurred at Sugandha Point on August 17 at around 3 p.m. Due to active monsoon conditions, a number three warning signal had been issued for the seaports, and a red flag was raised at Cox’s Bazar beach, prohibiting entry into the sea. However, the tourists ignored these warnings, leading to the dangerous situation.

Lifegueards often report that despite warnings, tourists do not listen to them. They urge everyone to follow the warnings.
