Despite a nationwide strike announced by doctors, medical services are continuing at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.

Only intern doctors are on strike as per central decision but other medical staff are ensuring uninterrupted services across all departments, including the emergency department.

However, the absence of interns has caused some disruptions.

During a visit to various wards of the hospital on Sunday afternoon, it was observed that healthcare services were still being provided. In addition, medical services are ongoing in private hospitals as well.

Dr. Mong Ting Yo, the supervisor of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital, confirmed that all departments are functioning normally.

“As government employees, we will comply with the government’s decisions,” he stated.

However, the intern doctors said that they are also going on strike with the decision of the whole country. They are on strike since 2 pm.
