The Meteorological Department has issued local cautionary signal 3 for four maritime ports—Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra—due to the active monsoon. Deep convective clouds are forming over the northern Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh.
As a result, strong winds may blow over Bangladesh’s coastal areas, the northern Bay of Bengal, and the sea ports.
Assistant Meteorologist Abdul Hannan of the Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Department confirmed this today (October 2).
Moreover, fishing boats and trawlers currently in the North Bay of Bengal have been advised to approach the coast cautiously and remain vigilant until further notice.
