National Road Safety Day was observed in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday through a rally and awareness activities jointly organised by the district administration and the Cox’s Bazar district branch of Nirapad Sarak Chai (NISCHA).
After the program’s inauguration on October 22, a colorful rally started from Cox’s Bazar Bus Terminal. A documentary on road safety awareness was later screened at the terminal.
Those present included District Information Officer Mohammad Abdu Sattar, Bangladesh Road Transport Authority Assistant Director (Engineering) Mohammad Kamruzzaman, traffic police official Jane Alam Bhuiyan, NISCHA Cox’s Bazar district president Jasim Uddin Kishore and general secretary Hakim Ali.
NISCHA advisers Nurul Islam Helali and Moazzem Hossain Shakil, vice-presidents Nurul Amin and Amirul Islam Dulu, and journalists Shamsul Haque Sharek and Morshedur Rahman Khokon also attended the programme, along with others.
