Dr. Khalilur Rahman, National Security Adviser and the High Representative on Rohingya Issues and Priorities to the Chief Advisor of the interim government, visited the Rohingya camps in Ukhiya on Friday.
During his visit, Dr. Khalilur toured Camp 1 West and the Markaz Mosque, where he interacted with members of the Rohingya community. He listened to their concerns and assessed the situation on the ground firsthand.
He was accompanied by Md. Mizanur Rahman, Additional Secretary and Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner, and Additional DIG Mohammad Siraj Amin, Commanding Officer of the 14 Armed Police Battalion.
Following the camp visit, Dr. Khalilur held a coordination meeting with the Camp-in-Charge (CiC), where they discussed the overall conditions and challenges within the camps.
Additionally, he visited the CiC office at Camp-4 Extension and inspected the facilities at Friendship Hospital in Camp-9.
The visit was part of the government’s ongoing efforts to assess the status of humanitarian assistance and strengthen coordination in addressing the Rohingya crisis.
