A delegation from the New Zealand High Commission in Bangladesh visited several Rohingya camps in Ukhiya.
The team included Mr. Brett Shields, Irregular Migration Liaison Officer, and Mr. Ben Quinn, Senior Irregular Migration Liaison Officer.
On Thursday, the delegation visited the Child-Friendly Space operated by the international development organization Educo near Block H-83 of Camp 17.
They observed different activities designed for children and were briefed by the organization on initiatives focusing on mental health, education, and recreational support for Rohingya children.
Later, the team visited a multipurpose center run by various NGOs near Block L-4 of Camp 18.
The Camp In-Charge, representatives of international donor agencies, and other officials attended the visit.
The delegation gained first-hand insights into the ongoing activities and challenges within the Rohingya camps and discussed opportunities for future cooperation and partnership.
