Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nasimul Ghani, has said that authorities are taking note of all activities involving smugglers and human traffickers and that no one will be spared.

He made this statement during a surprise visit to Ramu Police Station in Cox’s Bazar at around 11 AM on Tuesday (April 15). Cox’s Bazar Superintendent of Police Mohammad Saifuddin Shaheen was also present.

When asked what actions are being taken against smugglers and human traffickers, Nasimul Ghani responded, “We are closely monitoring everything. No one involved will be given any leniency.” He added that several operations have already been conducted in Ramu to recover illegal arms.

Calling human trafficking a national crisis, the Home Secretary said, “It’s a problem we must tackle together. We need collective effort to prevent human trafficking. Our aim is to strengthen our law enforcement agencies and restore public confidence. The government is treating this issue with the highest level of priority.”
