To empower coastal youth, Songjog Connecting People Foundation offers free freelancing training to over 1,000 young individuals in Cox’s Bazar. The two-year initiative aims to enhance technical skills and create a thriving community of freelancers in the region.
The US Internet Social Foundation supported the program, which started in December under the project “Hands-on Skill Development Program for Internet-Based Applications to Empower Underprivileged Youth.” Currently, 60 participants are training in two batches, with classes held three days a week. Each course spans three months.
Training Coordinator Minhaz Uddin stated, “We aim to advance the technical skills of Cox’s Bazar’s youth. Songjog Foundation is committed to supporting young individuals in building freelancer careers.”
The free computer course program will continue for two years, equipping hundreds with the skills needed for the digital economy.
