An exciting initiative has been launched at Cox’s Bazar Beach with the theme “Be Aware, Trade Plastic for Gifts.” Anyone can win attractive prizes by collecting and depositing discarded plastic items.
The Bidyananda Foundation, a volunteer organization, organized this program at Laboni Point, the beach, to combat plastic pollution and protect the marine environment.
Throwing plastic bottles into the sea after use not only pollutes the water but also poses a threat to biodiversity. To address this, the Bidyananda Foundation has taken an innovative approach, allowing anyone to earn prizes by turning in any plastic waste they find on the beach.
We have set up five temporary booths along the beach, showcasing eco-friendly gifts such as books, plants, and other sustainable rewards.
Visitors and tourists can deposit their plastic waste at these booths, spin a prize wheel, and win gifts as part of this effort to keep the beach clean and the environment healthy.
