In solidarity with the nationwide general strike against Israel’s ongoing devastation in Gaza, people from all walks of life in Cox’s Bazar organized a protest rally and march under the slogan “The World Stops for Gaza – March for Palestine.”
The demonstration occurred Monday morning at Shaheed Daulat Maidan near the Public Library. Speakers at the rally strongly condemned Israel’s atrocities in Gaza and called for global support for an independent Palestine.
Following the rally, a protest march paraded through the city’s main roads, passing Holiday Mor and Kalatoli before concluding at City College. Political leaders, students, and public members participated in the event.
