Azhar Uddin, affectionately known as “Raja Mama,” has become a social media sensation by selling a variety of flavorful teas. He cuts a regal figure at Laboni Point in Cox’s Bazar with his iconic mustache, vibrant turban, and colorful Panjabi.
Raja Mama, who has opened 19 outlets across Bangladesh, started his journey in the seaside city two years ago, just before the local trade fair. Now, he is well-loved by tourists and locals alike, offering a selection of around 30 different teas at his stall named ‘Famous Raja Tea’.
Speaking to Cox’s Bazar Life, Raja Mama expressed his gratitude for the support and enthusiasm he’s received. He hopes to continue serving his famous tea for years to come.
