A rally and discussion session were held in Cox’s Bazar to celebrate National and International Sports Day. The theme was “Youth Participation for Sports Development.” The District Administration and the District Sports Association jointly organized the event.
The rally started from the Deputy Commissioner’s office and paraded through key city roads. Later, a discussion session took place at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin attended as the chief guest, emphasizing the vital role of sports in keeping society free from cultural degradation and drug abuse. The session was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner Nizamul Uddin Ahmed, with speeches from Nilufa Yasmin Chowdhury, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sadar Upazila, and Md—Alauddin, District Sports Officer, among others.
