On Friday morning, Cox’s Bazar witnessed a sudden nor’wester accompanied by heavy rainfall, bringing much-needed relief after relentless heat. The scorching temperatures had left residents struggling, but the downpour provided a refreshing change.

The morning began with dark clouds looming over the city, followed by gusty winds and a steady downpour. Various parts of the town were drenched, significantly cooling down the temperature and offering a sense of relief to the people.

On Thursday, a day earlier, moderate rainfall was also reported in several upazilas, including Maheshkhali and Ukhiya. The showers had a positive impact on agriculture and daily life.

According to the local meteorological office, cloudy skies and sporadic rainfall are expected over the next few days.

Residents enjoyed the rainfall, describing it as a natural blessing. Many welcomed the cool breeze and damp streets, hoping for more showers to ease the summer heat further.
