Cashew and pistachio nuts are widely used daily—sometimes as a spice in cooking, sometimes as a snack. Some people even enjoy handfuls of cashews on their own.
After fasting all day, staying hydrated is crucial, and a refreshing glass of nut-based sherbet is a popular choice for iftar. Not only is it a nutritious option for adults, but it is also highly beneficial for children.
With Ramadan underway, the demand for nuts has surged in Cox’s Bazar, leading to a slight price increase. A market survey reveals that cashews sell for up to Tk 1,200 per kg, while pistachios are priced at Tk 900 per kg.
Cashews are a highly nutritious food packed with protein, vitamin K, E, calcium, potassium, magnesium, zinc, and carbohydrates.
Similarly, pistachios are rich in fiber, protein, antioxidants, vitamin B, and potassium, enhancing their health benefits.
