At Himchhari beach area, a woodcutter is carrying a heavy load of timber on his own shoulder. He collects wood from the hilly forest to store at home. This scene of rural life reminds how much people outside the cities still live in close dependence on nature. The summer season is ongoing, and the monsoon is knocking at the door. In the face of impending rain and storms, it is urgent to collect and store firewoods. These photos were taken at the Marine Drive road beach area in Cox’s Bazar.
