Satyen Sen Shilpigoshthi, Cox’s Bazar District Unit, has honoured students who secured first and second places at the district level in music and dance categories of the Nazrul Year National Cultural Competition and artists who were enlisted as music and recitation performers at Bangladesh Betar’s Cox’s Bazar regional centre.
The reception was held at 5:00 pm on October 23 at the Cox’s Bazar Public Library auditorium, with the organisation’s president, Khorshed Alam, in the chair.
Speakers at the event included District Khelaghar president Subimal Pal Panna; Jhinukmala Khelaghar president Ashraful Huda Siddiqui Jamshed; dance instructor Harunur Rashid Liton; cultural organiser Promoth Pal; the organisation’s finance secretary Ayat Ullah; and member Jawad Bashar Ananta.
The speakers said cultural organisations, instructors, guardians and socially conscious citizens should work together to engage the younger generation in healthy cultural activities. They expressed hope that regular practice, dedication and proper guidance would help children, adolescents and young artists achieve greater success at the national level.
They also said recognising and encouraging talented artists could support cultural development. They added that such receptions could boost performers’ confidence and inspire more young people to pursue cultural activities, praising Satyen Sen Shilpigoshthi for its cultural initiatives.
The programme was conducted by Monir Mobarak, general secretary of Satyen Sen Shilpigoshthi’s Cox’s Bazar District Unit. The artists were presented with honours, and the organisers wished them continued success in their cultural pursuits.
