According to local sources, fishermen at Himchari Beach in Cox’s Bazar have netted a remarkable haul of sea fish weighing several maunds.
During an on-site visit, a diverse catch was seen trapped in the fishermen’s nets, including small and large Poa, Faisa, Big Faisa, Mola, Churi, and Bata. These freshly caught fish are being sold directly to wholesale buyers. While some fish are making their way to local markets, a significant portion is being sent to drying yards for processing into dried fish.
Fishermen report that the Cox’s Bazar coast yields abundant catches of large and small fish, providing them with a steady income and financial stability.
