Suprobhat Cox’s Bazar, one of the district’s prominent sports and social organizations, has announced the formation of its convening committee during a general meeting held on Thursday evening at its temporary office.
Senior members of the organization approved the 15-member committee, naming Professor Apon Chandra Dey as the convener and Sayantan Bhattacharya as the member secretary.
The committee also includes Subhash Kanti Dash, Rajib Karmakar, Rajib Raj Dash, Tarekul Islam, Jalal Uddin Emon, Miton Kumar Dey, Sudipto Dhar, Shubhashis Dhar, Sidul Dey, Atanu Dash, Ashim Kumar Dey, Ashish Dey, Shariful Islam, and Choton Kanti Dey.
Speaking on behalf of the newly formed committee, the convener and member secretary said they aim to hand over responsibilities to an elected executive body soon through a fair and participatory election. In the meantime, they sought full cooperation from all members to carry out the organization’s regular activities smoothly.
Founded in 2022, Suprobhat Cox’s Bazar has actively engaged in morning exercise sessions, sports events, and social initiatives that contribute to the physical and mental well-being of the district’s youth. The organization currently boasts over 80 members.
