On the sandy shores of Cox’s Bazar’s Kabita Chattar, around 20-30 families struggle financially in makeshift homes. Lacking the means to purchase warm clothing, these families often endure harsh winters without adequate protection.

This winter, the youth-led organization Tarunner Avijatrik stepped in to provide relief. On Wednesday, December 25, at noon, the group distributed winter clothing to 40 children and blankets to 20 women in the coastal pine grove area.

Himel Barua Himu, the organization’s founder and director, stated, “Since 2018, we have been conducting social welfare activities, including distributing winter clothes to the needy. This year, with support from our members and well-wishers, we have continued this tradition. Today marks the first phase of our winter clothing distribution, with more to follow throughout the season.”

Journalist Abdur Rashid Manik, Asifuzzaman Sajin, the organization’s General Secretary, Jishu Ram De, and Taposh Chowdhury, a driving instructor and member of Tarunner Avijatrik, attended the event.
