Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf land port will remain closed for nine days in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr, suspending all import and export activities between Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Customs Superintendent Mohammad Sohel confirmed the closure on Friday, stating that operations at the port would be suspended from Friday, March 28, to Saturday, April 5, in honor of the Muslim religious festival.
However, arrangements have been made to transport goods already cleared customs to various districts and divisional cities under special provisions.
Regular import and export activities at the port will resume on Sunday, April 6.
