From the month of Falgun to Kartik, the Naf River sees its peak fishing season. The river and various coastal areas of Teknaf serve as a prime breeding ground for fish larvae and juveniles. For years, this region has played a crucial role in meeting the nationwide demand for fish fry.

With the ebb and flow of the tides, a diverse array of fish larvae can be spotted drifting through the Naf River. Marine shrimp and coral fish fry are the most commonly seen along the riverbanks.
