The demand for quail birds is increasing in Bangladesh due to their nutritional benefits and profitability as a business. Experts believe that low space requirements, minimal costs, and high productivity make quail farming a promising sector for farmers.

According to nutritionists, quail eggs contain high protein, iron, vitamin B12, and antioxidants, which help boost the immune system. Additionally, they aid in preventing anemia, improving memory, and enhancing eyesight.

Livestock specialists state that quails have strong disease resistance, reducing farmers’ medical expenses. They start laying eggs within 4-5 weeks and produce around 200-250 eggs annually.

The demand for quail eggs and meat is rising across different regions in Bangladesh. Supermarkets and local markets often sell quail eggs at a higher price than chicken eggs, making it a profitable venture for farmers.

Experts suggest that quail farming requires low investment and can be quickly started on a small scale. With government support, this sector has the potential to expand further and contribute significantly to Bangladesh’s poultry industry.
