United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres is currently at the Rohingya refugee camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.

After landing at Cox’s Bazar Airport on Friday (March 14) alongside Bangladesh’s Interim Government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Guterres traveled by road to Camp-4 in the refugee settlement.

Throughout the day, the UN Secretary-General has visited various facilities, including a learning center, while observing ongoing camp activities.

In the afternoon, Chief Adviser Dr. Yunus is also scheduled to visit the Rohingya camp. Later, both he and Secretary-General Guterres will join thousands of Rohingya refugees for a grand Iftar gathering.

Excitement is running high among the Rohingya community ahead of the Mega Iftar. Since 10 AM, many refugees have been arriving at the designated venue at Demo Hill in Camp-20, eager to participate in the event.
