To ensure the safety of visitors during their stay in Cox’s Bazar, the Tourist Police has issued a bunch of guidelines.
The police urged the tourists to negotiate fare before boarding any auto-rickshaw, hotels or resorts.
They also urged them to pre-book hotels whenever possible, to carry valid identification or birth certificates.
Police requested the tourists to avoid carrying valuable items to the beach; it’s safer to leave them in your room.
Tourists police warned the tourists to refrain from hiring massage boys on the beach as they may exploit the situation to steal wallets or mobile phones.
Police told the tourists to report any harassment promptly if beggars or individuals from the transgender community disturb them.
They also suggested avoiding purchasing from beach vendors.
Police also urged them to negotiate with photographers in advance and also check for a valid license.
They also suggested tourists verify rates for beach bikes and water rides.
Tourists are also urged to seek assistance if they encounter any harassment or unusual situations.
Moreover, they also urged tourists to check menus, be cautious about street foods, and to avoid dark and secluded areas at night.
Police also urged the tourists to always check the tide schedule and avoid entering the water during low tide.
