To ensure the safety of visitors, the Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police carried out regular monitoring across different points of the beach on Saturday (August 9), as part of their daily operations. Additional precautions have been implemented to protect beachgoers.
Apple Mahmud, Additional DIG in charge of the Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police Region, said that due to strong sea waves, tourists have been advised to refrain from swimming. At the same time, all relevant stakeholders along the beach have been warned to ensure that no tourist faces any form of harassment.
“Our top priority is the safety of tourists,” he said. “We are conducting awareness campaigns to prevent people from entering the rough sea and risking their lives. We’ve also instructed everyone involved to remain vigilant so that no tourist is subjected to harassment.”
Every day, large numbers of visitors flock to the world’s longest natural sea beach. To safeguard them, the Tourist Police continue to maintain regular patrols and monitoring.
