Despite the sanctity and restraint of the holy month of Ramadan, a handful of tourists can still be seen at Cox’s Bazar beach, especially on weekends. As the day’s fast ends, many visitors find solace in the gentle evening breeze and the breathtaking sunset over the sea.
Some stroll along the shoreline, soaking in the natural beauty, while others sit on the sand or let the waves wash over their feet. The golden hues of the setting sun are a significant attraction, with tourists eager to capture the moment on their cameras.
A tourist from Chattogram shared his experience: “Since the crowd is much smaller due to Ramadan, the atmosphere feels more peaceful. The sunset looks even more mesmerizing in this serene setting.”
Local vendors note that while visitors are relatively low, those who come tend to stay until Iftar. Small food stalls see some business as tourists pick up light snacks to break their fast.
According to Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police, security measures remain in place despite fewer visitors. Special monitoring is conducted during iftar and taraweeh hours to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
With the tranquil ambiance of Ramadan blending seamlessly with the rhythmic waves and vibrant colors of the sunset, Cox’s Bazar continues to leave a lasting impression on visitors.
